Hari Merdeka (Independence Day) is a national day of Malaysia commemorating the independence of the Federation of Malaya from British colonial rule, celebrated on August 31 each year.

Celebrating Merdeka every year reminds us of how far we have come and how thankful we should be to have gained our independence.

So, I believe we as parents need to teach our kids the value of Hari Merdeka, the importance of working together and being one.

It doesn’t matter how we celebrate Merdeka. It’s the value of appreciating what we have today.. as a Malaysian that matters most.
